2.    MONDULKIRI PROVINCIAL PROGRAM

2.1  Mondulkiri Provincial Program’s target areas and target groups

The ICSO program office based in Mondulkiri has implemented projects in 18 villages, 4 communes of PechChenda district. There are 2 main project components such as 1). Indigenous Community Natural Resources Management and Networking Project (IC-NRMNP), and 2). Indigenous People Organizations Economic Empowerment Project (IPOs-EEP).Through these projects; ICSO has worked with 493 (195 [39%] were female) of IPN, Saving Groups members (SGMs), Saving Group Leaders (SGLs) and IPOs/ICBOs members on Economic Development. The total of IPs that we have worked with and through was 14,973 (5,946 [39%] were female) IPs, including men, women, youth and elders, and 32 (5 [15%] were female) of duty bearers.

2.2  Indigenous Community Natural Resources Management Project (IC-NRMP)

Summary:

For the period of this report, there were 749 (496 [66%] were female) rights holders and duty bearers at village and commune levels from targeted communities that have participated in project activities for strengthening the knowledge and capacity of ICs to protect their culture, land, forest and natural resources and increasing awareness and knowledge of concept and impacts and root cause of local environment and climate change, gender issues identify and analysis including role of women in decision makings in natural resources management and development actions

2.3  Indigenous Peoples Organizations Economic Empowerment Project (IPOs-EEP)

Summary:

For the period of this report, there were 363 (267 [73%] were female) rights holders and duty bearers at village and commune levels from targeted communities that have participated 30 project activities. These activities were focused on strengthening the knowledge, capacities and skills of entrepreneurship, improving the performance of economic activities and implementation and development of the ICBO institutions to manage autonomous community credit projects with a gender focus for increasing villager’s income.
